About Bansko
The small town of Bansko is situated 925 metres above sea level, at the north-eastern foot of the Pirin mountain. A popular mountain ski resort, the town still manages to retain its architectural and historical value.
The highest point of the SKI zone is at 2560m and the lowest at 1000m. The combined length of the SKI runs is 65 km. The quality of the ski runs is maintained by 12 snow grooming machines. The complex consists of a Doppelmayer cabin lift, gondola for 8 people, five 4 seat lifts, one 3 seats lift, six ski drag lift and ten children lifts. The access to the lifts is controlled by a chip cards. For the youngest skiers there is a moving ski path and a kinder garden.
The Half Pipe is giving the snowboard users a lot of new options to explore.
The Ski centre at Bansko has 16 kilometers of ski paths equipped with artificial snow machines and lightning, connecting Bansko with the higher parts of the SKI zone. The current number of artificial snow canons is 161 providing the visitors of Bansko with one of the longest SKI seasons in Europe – from December until May!
Some of the most beautiful places in the park as Buderishki Skok, Demqnishki skok, Ulenski skok, rock formation Svatbata, Bunderishka cave, 7 ancient trees are protected by the low.
